Diabetes, or diabetes mellitus, is a condition wherein there is a lack of insulin in the body. Insulin, a hormone released by the pancreas, is necessary for breaking down blood sugar and converting it to energy. In the event that the body does not produce enough insulin, their will be a rise in the blood sugar level.


PATEINT ADVICE:
• Exercise regularly and maintain an ideal body weight. Check with our physician before taking on any form of exercise routine.
• Check your body regularly fro wounds or infection that never heal.
• Monitor your blood or urine sugar regularly.
• Lessen your intake of foods rich in sugar and carbohydrates.
• Avoid fatty foods and foods rich in cholesterol including red meat, high-fat dairy product.
