Diarrhea

Diarrhea – is a condition characterized b the passing of abnormally loose strools at vary and may include a change in the diet, food intolerance, inflammatory bowel disorders, drug-induced infection or a viral infection.
Patient Advice:
• Avoid sodas or other drinks high in glucose since its sugar content may draw fluid into the gut thereby worsening the condition. Do not give any food for 24 hours.
• After 24 hours, eat only bland, dry foods, avoid grains and uncooked fruit and vegetable. Fatty food and diary products may only be eaten after 48 hours.
• If diarrhea persists for more than 48 hours, seek medical advice.
